"PUTRAJAYA 31 Okt. - Kerajaan mengumumkan penurunan harga runcit petrol dan diesel sebanyak 15 sen seliter lagi berkuat kuasa esok.

Dengan penurunan itu, harga runcit petrol RON97 akan dijual pada RM2.15 seliter berbanding RM2.30 seliter sebelum ini manakala diesel dan petrol RON92 yang sebelum ini dijual pada RM2.20 seliter akan dijual pada harga RM2.05 seliter.

Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi berkata, keputusan itu dibuat selari dengan penurunan secara ketara harga minyak dunia sejak akhir-akhir ini.

Keputusan hari ini bermakna dalam tempoh tiga bulan lalu kerajaan telah menurunkan harga petrol sebanyak 55 sen manakala harga diesel pula sudah mengalami penurunan sebanyak 53 sen."

i hope the petrol's price will go down again soon as one of Malaysian economist said Malaysia oil price should be RM1.60

where are all Malaysian people? From what i know, our unemployment rate are increasing year by year. How can foreign workers get such huge amount of money while our own people suffer from the wave of foreign workers coming to Malaysia.

Malaysia Thrash Sierra Leone To Enter Semis

PETALING JAYA, Oct 18 (Bernama) -- Malaysia thrashed Sierra Leone 4-0 in a Group A match in the 40th edition of the Merdeka Cup football tournament at the Petaling Jaya Stadium here Thursday night.

The win earned them a semifinal ticket as there are only two groups of four teams each competing in the tournament.

Both teams had difficulty adapting to the pitch which became soggy following a heavy downpour and the ice was broken only in the 69th minute when midfielder Mohd Hardi Jaafar netted Malaysia's first goal which sent the 3,000-odd home fans present into a frenzy.

Mohd Safee Mohd Sali made it two up in the 74th minute and twins Mohd Aidil Zafuan Abdul Razak and Mohd Zaquan Adha Abdul Razak completed the rout when they netted a goal each in the 78th and 92nd minutes respectively.

Malaysia now top group A in the table standing after collecting six points from two wins. On Wednesday they beat Nepal by the same margin.

Hapless Pakistan Thrashed By Malaysia

Malaysia defeated Pakistan 4-1 in an international friendly, played on Friday at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. For the hosts it was a part of their preparations for the Merdeka Tournament and the AFF Suzuki Cup, while for the tourists the encounter served just as an outing at such time when foreign players are reluctant to visit Pakistan to play any sports.

Although, Malaysia are ranked 160th in the FIFA ranking, was ahead 1-0 at half-time thanks to a goal from Mohd Safee Mohd Sali in the 38th minute.

But after the restart, the South-east Asians stepped up a gear and with strikes from Mohd Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak, Hairuddin Omar and Mohd Khyril Muhymeen Zambri, stretched their lead to 4-0.

In the dying minutes Arif Mehmood lessened the defeat margin by one goal to conclude the match.

It was the sixth clash between the two nations and Malaysia now have four wins to their credit compared to Pakistan’ one - that was secured in November 1981.
